I painted up this Centerpiece for the 2011 ‘Battle for the Shrine’ fundraiser this coming weekend in Massachusetts. I saw a photo of this model painted by Micro Art Studios, and wanted to try something similar.
HUGE Pile of Space Wolves!
If you’ve been wondering why I haven’t posted an update lately, these Space Wolves are a huge part of it. In total, 59 Space Wolves and a Drop Pod were painted as part of this force.
Ultramarines Assault Terminators
A squad of 5 Space Marine Assault Terminators in Ultramarines Chapter Colours. Two are equipped with pairs of Lightning Claws, with the others wielding a Storm Shield and Thunder Hammer. One of these models is featured in an episode of Quick ‘n Dirty.
Imperial Guard Commissar with Bolt Pistol
I just wrapped up an Imperial Guard Commissar, complete with a freehanded Aquila on the inside of his greatcoat. This model took approximatley 2.5 hours to paint, and will be featured in an upcoming Attention to Detail video.
Raven Guard Primarch Corax
I just wrapped up this monster of a model last week; an unofficial sculpt of Raven Guard Primarch Corax. I did a little conversion work on the model, sculpting new feet for it and giving it a split-tail whip in one hand rather than a second set of Lightning Claws.
An Imperial Fist Space Marine is shown for scale in the last photo.
Necron Lord : Gold and Red scheme
Proof that metallic gold doesn’t have to look cheesy! You can watch me paint this model from start to finish in Quick ‘n Dirty Episode 4.
Ork Big Mek with Shokk Attack Gun
If I can make a suggestion to anyone who will be painting this model on their own – assemble it first! I tried painting each piece prior to assembly, because this model has lots of deep, hard to reach areas that I thought would benefit from the paint-first technique… but this model is actually fairly awkward to fit together, and a good amount of the paint was damaged during assembly.
That lesson learned, I’m still really happy with how this model turned out.
Space Marine Ultramarine Scouts
Just a quick commission for a MiniWarGaming customer; 5 Scouts, painted in the Ultramarines colours. I filmed the painting of the first model – watch for it to be featured in a Quick ‘n Dirty soon!
Quick ‘n Dirty: Emperor’s Children CSM
The new episode of QnD is live at MiniWarGaming! I’m going to begin posting links to the videos there, rather than flooding my blog with embedded video players – hopefully that’s better for everyone! Anyway, this week I’ve painted a Chaos Space Marine in Emperor’s Children colours.

Quick ‘n Dirty: Imperial Fists Tactical Marine
Here’s Episode 3! Over time I’d like to paint models for each of the First Founding Chapters, though I have no Dark Angels bits as yet.

Commissions are NOT currently available.
